To get started on the 11-building Vida Townhomes complex back in 2016, our site development began with the demolition of a large gym that housed an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Even after we demoed the gym and got rid of the concrete from the building, this job had still only just begun.
This project took place on a small job site with strict erosion control requirements due to its proximity to a stream. The stream actually ran through the property, so to keep it clean, we had to filter water through temporary storm tanks and undertake an off-site discharge.
All told, we handled every aspect of site development at Vida Townhomes except for the vertical build itself. We did the initial demo, dug the footing for the buildings, installed all utilities and a sewer bypass, and completed the paving work.
