With growing neighborhoods and multiple schools, the City of Covington is working on pedestrian improvements to many of their streets without sidewalks, including the work we recently performed on 146th Ave SE.
To accommodate a new ADA-compliant sidewalk, Rino crews had to build retaining walls and improve existing drainage and water lines. Once everything was to grade, we poured the new sidewalks, curb, and gutter, upgraded electrical lighting, and finished landscaping for residents.
The project schedule was extremely tight due to temporary construction easements to limit the impact on residents. Our project team had to coordinate closely with the city and residents for the entire project.
